SEEDS OF SUBVERSION

Non-GMO, Heirloom, Open-Pollinated, & Public Domain Seeds

For Guerilla Gardeners Sowing Subversive Plots

Stoney Brook Farm (and seedsofsubversion.com) is located on the edge of the Fond du Lac State Forest outside of Cloquet, MN. Our seeds are grown using organic methods, but you'll have to take our word for it because we're not organic certified since I don't feel like jumping through those government hoops. We grow only heirloom/open-polinated/public domain varieties, and have taken the Safe Seed Pledge to not knowingly buy, sell, or trade genetically engineered seeds or plants. We are members of the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI), which is dedicated to maintaining fair and open access to plant genetic resources worldwide in order to ensure the availability of germplasm to farmers, gardeners, breeders, and communities of this and future generations.

Seeds of Subversion takes it name from the chapter on corn in renowned plant breeder and author Carol Deppe's book The Resilient Gardener -- Food Production and Self-Reliance in Uncertain Times, in which she describes growing and saving seeds as one of the most subversive acts to which one can aspire.

We spend the winter in Florida so seeds ordered during the winter months will ship from there but were grown in Minnesota.  Please send payment to PO Box 10788, Brooksville, FL 34603-0788. We get our mail at that address whether we're in Florida or Minnesota.
